I am a purse-a-holic. But I'm a savvy shopper purse-a-holic, so sometimes it becomes difficult feeding my addiction while remaining on a budget. This is exactly why I'm really happy that I get to share my review of Miche Bags with you! Not only do they have
work from home opportunities for those of you looking to make some extra money, but 1 bag can serve as multiples. All you have to do is change the outer shells, and you immediately have a brand new purse. Change weekly, change monthly, change by season or mood! With 36 different shells listed on the Miche Bag website for the Prima bag, you're sure to find something to suit your fancy, and this, in my humble opinion, is AWESOME.
I was given the option to choose a base bag (the inner bag) from their four options: Demi, Classic, Prima, and Petite. I chose the Prima because it was a large bag. As much as I like smaller purses, they don't hold enough diapers, wipes, sippy cups, snacks, or bottles in addition to my own collection of purse size items I carry around. I figured this would be a stylish way to do my mom duties without having to lug around an extra diaper bag. But, this one does! I'm awful when it comes to imagining the size of a purse by the dimensions provided on a web site. This bag is SO much bigger than I expected it to be. I can fit everything comfortably inside of it, and then more. I can easily leave the house for 4-6 hours with both of my children who are 2 and 8 months, with everything I need packed in there. The base bag also has several pockets on the inside. You can easily fit 2 cell phones, a point and shoot camera, credit cards, pens, and that isn't even including the generous size zip pocket. The outside is black as you can see from the photo below, however the inside is a warm khaki color. The Prima base also came with two removable straps. I thought the length on them was just perfect. Not too long, but long enough where I can hoist it over my shoulder and it'll stay without getting in my way.
Miche also sent two Prima shells to include in my review: Lucy and Morgan.
I absolutely love the design on the Lucy bag (floral), however their site shows it as all black and white. The actual flowers are on are brown. But, it's still a pretty design, and I'm happy with it. I did go to the site and used the "zoom" option on the photograph to see if I had originally missed the fact that there is brown on it, but that wasn't the case. It is however mentioned in the product description. I loved that it came with a matching diaper pad, and that there are 6 outside pockets in addition to an outside zipper pocket. Perfect for me as a mom! The outside is a little plastic-y feeling, but that worked out well for me. My kids are messy, and this type of fabric makes it super easy to wipe it down, especially after a bottle or sippy cup leak... which happens more than I'd like to admit.
Morgan is a semi-gloss faux leather. I don't like it as much as Lucy, but I do like there are two outside zipper pockets, and an open pocket on each side. It's also a nice fabric that is also easy to wipe down. Even though I requested the Prima bags because of their size, Morgan is a great bag to use anywhere, even if you don't have children. I know I'm not the only woman who likes to be able to easily find my stuff, and those tiny purses do NOT make it easy, unless you carry next to nothing.
The shells are really easy to exchange out too. There are two magnetic flaps on the shells, and you just insert the base, and put the shell flaps over the edges and that's it. You have a brand new purse. I also found that the magnetic flaps help keep the bag closed, which is probably also why they're there. But, I thought it was a neat feature.
