January 2012 – Month in Reviews

At the beginning of every new month, I've decided to recap all of the product reviews that I wrote in the previous month! Although the giveaways that accompanied them are over, this is still a chance to read about products you may have missed when first published.

January 9th:

Stay At Home Mom - Couponing: The Extreme Video Course Review

Excerpt: "I am beyond a newbie couponer. I tend to screw up and make things more difficult for everyone involved, plus without having the proper guide or instruction I find I waste more time pretending to be a savvy couponer than actually accomplishing my goal of becoming one. For this reason I was extremely intrigued when presented with the opportunity to review Couponing: The Extreme Video Course with Rayven Perkins."

January 15th:

1. Skillet - Original Bacon Jam Review

Excerpt: "How does one describe a condiment: simple, yummy, delicious, flavorful? None of these words begin to describe the amazing, mouthwatering, epically satisfying condiment I had the utmost pleasure of trying. I can say with absolute honesty that I have found my new favorite condiment - Skillet Bacon Jam! Oh my gosh, I'm salivating just thinking about it... Mmmmm."

2. The I Like Book for Couples - Review

Excerpt: "Valentine's Day is almost here, and with that we see way too much red, pink, hearts, candy, cards, flowers, chocolate, cheesy balloons, and a huge push for "adult" lingerie, and other *ahem* toys. It seems the older I get, the less interested I am in the holiday. I struggle to find anything of meaning to give to my husband, and I'm lucky if I receive a card from him. However, I think I'll be starting a new tradition with him! I have had the opportunity to review a book called The I Like Book for Couples, and within the first week, we have already began to benefit from the few minutes we spend each day using it."

3. Kristine's Shower - Product Review

Excerpt: "I contacted Jenny, the owner of Kristine's Shower, to discuss sampling her products. I love bath and body products, but I often find I can't afford the ones that are top of the line, with quality ingredients, and amazing scents. Since 2002, Jenny has been combining all three of these qualities and has produced, what I would say, are some of my favorite bath and body products I've ever tried! No joke."

January 16th:

Jooniebeads Treasures - Product Review

Excerpt: "I'm always super impressed when someone can make something that looks store quality. I especially love handmade jewelry. The talent, and care that goes into making something beautiful and wearable amazes me. With that being said, I had the chance to review a pair of earrings from Jooniebeads Treasures. I contacted Amy for two reasons. The first being that I thought all of her jewelry in her Etsy shop was just gorgeous. The second reason is absolutely silly, but Joonie, reminds me of the movie Benny & Joon - I named my daughter after Joon, and we often call her Juni. I figured it was an auspicious coincidence, and I am really glad I began talking with Amy!"

January 21st:

1. Superfood Snacks "The Original Source" - Product Review

Excerpt: "I had a certain expectation of what the snacks would taste like, probably because I've never tried anything that was actually made with raw chocolate. Unlike some of the products I've reviewed in the past, EVERYTHING in the Brazilian Chocolate Ecstasy snacks is raw. Which is great, but the first time I tried it, let me just say I was caught off guard."

2. FouFou Dog: Love Your Breed - Product Review

Excerpt: "I was contacted by FouFou Dog, a Canadian company, looking to share the news about their new line of products called Love Your Breed. I have two dogs of my own; a Labradoodle named Mazie, and a Treeing Walker Coon Hound mix named Phoebe. They're both a little neurotic rescue pets, yet absolutely adorable and well loved. So, I thought this would be a great opportunity to try out products meant for dog lovers!"

January 27th:

Renewdle: Slim Newdle - Product Review

Excerpt: "I may be young, but I often get back, hip, shoulder, and all over body pain. I injured myself quite a bit in my earlier youth days playing sports, and I just don't think I ever fully recovered. Add that to being hunched over all day at my computer, put in weird positions when my kids want to play, and having a really old mattress, I wake up in pain and go to bed in pain. And thus begins my review of the Slim Newdle!"
