You know how when you get bored with a pair of shoes, or the tops get really dirty we think it's time to buy a new pair even if the soles are still in useable condition? What if it was possible to purchase a single pair of shoes, but with interchangeable uppers and soles? You're probably thinking "Yeah right. That doesn't exist." Oh, but it DOES! I stumbled across Zipz Shoes one day while searching for nifty products to review, because sharing what I find with my readers is truly the best part of my "job". And I think I hit the mother-load when I found Zipz Shoes!
Zipz Shoes sent me a pair of Dragon Rose Zip-Ons, with white soles, in a women's size 11. These are the coolest shoes I've ever seen, and the concept is fantastic! The Dragon Rose pattern is so unique, and just looking at them you'd never know that the tops can unzip from the soles. The zipper does require a tiny bit of tugging, but I think that's a great thing. Who wants their shoes to easily come unzipped while walking around? Bending over every 10 steps because your shoes are coming undone would be ridiculous. The zipper pull is big enough for even larger hands, but small enough to maintain its decorative feature. Putting the tops back onto the soles is really easy. The zipper hooks back in very easily - none of that struggling that accompanies some zippers.
One of the greatest features of Zipz shoes is that you can mix and match any top with any sole as long as they're the same size. This means you can buy 1 sole, and a set of High-Tops, Low-Tops, and Zip-Ons in any pattern and switch them out whenever you need a change. I've been considering getting the Dragon Rose High-Tops, and I'd only have to buy the tops since the soles are still in great condition. I think that's awesome. Shoes get bulky, and it's much easier to store just the tops instead of multiple full pairs of shoes.
"Change Your Shoes. Change Yourself. Change Your World." ~ Zipz Shoes
The other great thing I like about Zipz shoes is that they offer toddler, youth, men's and women's sizes. I would consider the adult sizes affordable, however I personally think they're a little pricey for children since their feet grow like weeds. However the option to purchase these in smaller sizes is nice. Toddler Zipz come in different styles than the youth an adult shoes. They're more toddler appropriate, and come in Zipz T-Strap and Zipz 2-Strap. We're a big fan of "gender neutral" items in our house since we have a boy and a girl 20 months apart, and I really applaud Zipz Shoes for offering gender neutral patterns and colors.
I really wish more shoe companies would make half sizes. I requested a size 11 because I'm just about always a comfortable 10.5, and 10's are just a tiny bit too small. The 11's are bigger than I'd like them to be (but not so big that a 10 would have fit), and my heel slips out at the back. However, there is a lot of cushion around the heel and ankle area so it keeps them from rubbing too much, and I didn't get any blisters which is a big +1 for me. These would probably be great with socks, but I rarely wear socks with any of my shoes. The Zip-Ons were slightly narrow at the widest part of my foot, so the outside of my pinky toe rubbed a tad. Again, I think this is easily fixable with socks. And, while these aren't the most comfortable shoes I've owned, I still think they're pretty darn awesome, and I enjoyed strutting my stuff in a pair of shoes that look so different!
They have a great limited time TV offer right now where you can get any style and any color (or their options available for this deal) for only $49.95 and they'll throw in a FREE cover.
Zipz is giving DealPeddler readers a chance to win a pair of Zipz shoes in any style, any color, and any size! Entrants must be residents of the USA and be 18+. Giveaway will run for approximately a week, and you'll be able to enter [HERE] when the giveaway is live.

If this is your first time reading anything I've written, you need to know one thing. I Love Shoes! I don't wear shoes all that often, and prefer to go barefoot in the Summer, however I have a very strange fixation with shoes. I'm always on the hunt for a comfortable pair that expresses my personality, yet is versatile enough to wear just about anywhere; beach, lake, out for a walk, shopping, etc. The other thing I find that I dislike about many pairs of shoes, is that no matter how stylish they are, or comfortable they are, they are heavy. Lugging around a pound or two of extra weight on your feet is a little ridiculous. Then you get the shoes that scuff up your floor, the ones that have no support, or the ones that have zero grip on the soles. Now that I think about it, trying to find the perfect pair of shoes is almost an impossible task. However, Dawgs Spirit shoes take care of all of those issues!
Dawgs Footwear sent me a pair of their women's Spirit Dawgs shoes in white/peacock to review. These are the funkiest looking shoes I've seen in awhile! Funky in a good way though. They have such a unique look and you can immediately tell that they're going to allow your feet to breathe, which is important if you're planning on wearing them in the warmer months without socks. Oh yeah, I don't wear socks either unless I absolutely have to. But for those who prefer to wear socks, you certainly can with these. I think it'd look a tad odd, but that's just my style preference, and I'm by no means a style guru.
» High stabilizing heel cup helps stabilize the foot and ankles against injury and strains.
» Thick cushioning heel absorbs shock and impact, reducing foot, knee, hip, and back pain and injuries.
» Integrated molded arch support helps prevent fallen arches and Plantar Fasciitis." ~ Dawgs Footwear
Other than the look of the Spirit Dawgs catching my attention, I immediately noticed how light-weight they are. It's almost like wearing feathers on your feet...almost. Once I got over the weight of the Spirit Dawgs and took a few steps, I was hit by a feeling of pure comfort. The Spirit Dawgs are not only flexible, but are soft, have a massaging foot bed, cushioning heel, a decent arch support along with a comfortable and supportive heel cup.
I do have to say that a size 11 was a little too big for me. I am a solid (usually) 10.5 in women's and Dawgs Footwear only seems to carry whole sizes, but the Velcro strap across the top part of the shoe really helped to make it so I can wear these shoes without worrying they're going to fall off. The strap is also great if you have wider feet, or decide to wear socks with the shoes. The only thing I wasn't super fond of is that the toe area is really wide looking. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, however I have massive feet in the first place, and the width at the top of the shoe just makes my feet look even bigger. I did notice that when my feet got a little sweaty my shoes started making a suction/squeak noise inside because of my feet, however I think that's because the shoes are a little big and my feet have quite a bit of room to move.
There were so many more things that I liked about the Spirit Dawgs that I feel they completely trump the few things I didn't like. Another great feature of the Spirit Dawgs is that they are easily washable! Don't you just hate it when your shoes get filthy and there is nothing you can do about it? Spirit Dawgs are also odor resistant, the soles won't leave marks on your nice shiny floors, and they have a great rubber out sole keeping slipping to a minimum. Overall I really think these are a great pair of shoes, and they're pretty affordable priced at only $40!
Make sure you find Dawgs on Facebook & Twitter because Dawgs Footwear is giving DealPeddler readers a chance at winning their own pair of Spirit Dawgs! The giveaway will run for approximately 1 week. You'll be able to enter [HERE] when it is live. Giveaway is open to residents of the USA who are 18+.

There are so many awesome things I need to get into this review, and I don't even know where to start! There were many reasons why I wanted to feature Planet Shoes on Earth Day. I began my search for an eco-friendly shoe company almost two months ago. Surprisingly there are several out there, but one thing I really liked about Planet Shoes is that they sell several brands of eco-friendly shoes right there on their website. For an eco-newb like me who really has no idea where to even begin when it comes to finding eco-friendly businesses/brands/products, I found this to be a huge help. Planet Shoes lists 44 different brands of shoes in their "eco" section; ranging from Acorn to Wolky. Not surprisingly I hadn't heard of most if not all of them. They also have a list of vegan friendly brands for those of you who prefer that instead. The variety is a huge bonus when I'm shopping online. Because they have such a large variety you are sure to find something in your price range.
What really struck me as an amazing component of Planet Shoes is that they also support sustainability. Planet Shoes has partnered with some really great charities which include Soles4Souls, World Wildlife Fund, Sierra Club, Green America, Carbonfund.org, The Conservation Alliance, and 1% For The Planet. You can read more about these charities [HERE]. As a member of Carbonfund.org, Planet Shoes offers customers who live in the continental USA a "carbon free" shipping option. And, because Plant Shoes is in alliance with 1% For The Planet, they have promised to donate at least 1% of their entire year's sales to environmental causes.
For those of you who are a bit more on the frugal side (and who can blame you), Planet Shoes always offers a Daily Deal, as well as FREE shipping on purchases that are $50 or more. They have a men's and women's sale section, or you can shop Planet Outlet. Today (04/22) when you donate $1 to Soles4Souls Planet Shoes will take 15% off of your order! And for those of you who love sweepstakes and giveaways, Planet Shoes offers a weekly shoe Giveaway. Awesome!
I asked Planet Shoes if they would allow for me to review a pair of shoes from one of the eco-friendly brands they sell, and they suggested choosing from brands such as Merrell, Naot, and Chaco. I decided to go with a pair of olive green Merrell Hennas, and we'll get to that part of the review in just a bit, but first I wanted to tell you a little more about Merrell. Merrell is considered an eco-friendly brand for several reasons. The majority of their packing material comes from recycled material; mostly post-consumer, but some pre-consumer materials. Printing on the packaging is done with soy based inks. Their 1 piece box design is completely intentional and meant to reduce material consumption and the use of adhesives. Even their inbound shipping cartons are recycled.
OK, so they recycle their packaging, but what else does Merrell do? Merrell recycled batteries, cell phones, glass and paper. They also sponsor electronic recycling drives, and have made their printing process considerably more efficient with eliminating printed reports and using better and more efficient duplex printers. That great thing, is that this is only part of what Merrell has done to help the planet. You can read even more about it [HERE].
The Merrell Hennas are not eco-friendly themselves, but I really really loved them, and wanted to review a pair of shoes I couldn't live without from a great environmentally conscious company. I have never owned such a well made, comfortable pair of sandals in my life! I can't express how much I love the gladiator look when it comes to shoes, and the braiding just tied everything together. These are not vegan friendly, but I'm not vegan so I really didn't care. I'm glad I went with a size 11 because they fit just right. Lately I've been running into issues with 11's being really big, so I guess that these may run about a .5 size small? Don't take my word for it. I just know that the 11's fit like a dream.
- Cement construction provides lightweight durability
- Full grain leather upper
- Unlined upper for a soft, flexible fit
- Full grain leather wrapped EVA footframe provides cushioning
- Molded nylon arch shank
- Merrell QForm® Comfort midsole provides women’s specific stride-sequenced cushioning
- Merrell air cushion in the heel absorbs shock and adds stability with an EVA midsole for cushioning
- Merrell Sola Sole / Sticky Rubber
If you're shoe shopping and want to purchase eco-friendly shoes, or even just support an environmentally conscious business, consider PlanetShoes, and Merrell! I couldn't have been happier with my experience, and I pray these shoes last me a long time because they are absolutely my favorite pair of shoes. There was no "breaking in" time, no blisters, just complete comfort! Also, please take the time to find Planet Shoes and Merrell on Facebook. You can also find Planet Shoes and Merrell on Twitter!

I saved one of my favorite eco-friendly companies to share with you until Earth Day. Threads For Thought is a sustainable apparel company that began in a unique way. The owners Leigh and Eric met in High School, both of whom had a concern for the planet, and humanitarian principals. Concerned with the meaningless loss of life in Darfur, Iraq, Afghanistan, along with other humanitarian crisis, Leigh and Eric decided to address the growing world of consumerism and the huge disregard and impact it was having on our planet.
"What began as a small business manufacturing and marketing graphic tee shirts that were made exclusively from organic cotton, gave back to charity, and promoted a cleaner environment, or advocated for peace, has grown into a complete lifestyle brand. We have never deviated from our primary mission… to promote a sense of responsibility for those who share this world with us… but rather than simply broadcasting that message on the front of tee shirts, the company has incorporated those principles into our very existence. Our products use sustainable materials and are manufactured in the most sustainable manner possible. We only work with factories that respect their employees and treat them humanely and fairly. We continue to work closely with several highly regarded charities, notably the International Rescue Committee (the IRC) and the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) to promote and support the excellent work that they do in the areas of humanitarian and environmental response." ~T4T
I contacted Threads 4 Thought before I had even learned of their compassion and small beginnings. I happened to have seen them mentioned in an article online, and really wanted to find an apparel company to feature during Earth Month. After reading their story I took the first steps to learn about this wonderful company. Threads for Thought was kind enough to send me a shirt from their "essentials" collection. Made from 60% organic cotton, and 40% recycled polyester, I was thrilled that I not only now owned a shirt that is planet friendly, but also an item that is ridiculously comfortable, well fitting, and affordable. Did you read that?! I said affordable! This particular shirt is priced at only $12. It just goes to show that it is definitely possible to shop eco-friendly on a budget. My husband even said the shirt was "pretty" regardless of how simple of a design it is. *WIN!*
I love the simplicity of the shirt, and how light weight it is! It's a perfect year round shirt that I can layer or wear on its own. I'm a big fan of solid colors, and they had a nice variety of colors to choose from. Many of their clothes are made from organic cotton, and other recycled materials whenever possible. They use low impact dyes, and generally use K2 water based inks for their screen prints. Embellishments are always from recycled materials as often as they allow. You can read about their manufacturing process more in depth [HERE].
I absolutely loved their Earth Day Campaign they launched this year. I had shared with you about it earlier in the month, but if you're looking to do a little eco-friendly shopping, through today (04/22), you can use code EARTH for an additional 10% off of your order. Also, Threads For Thought will donate 10% of all online orders to NRDC. And, as always, 100% of profits stemming from NRDC t-shirt purchases will be donated back to NRDC. I just can't resist showing you a few of my favorite things that they currently have for sale online.
I hope you take the time to find them on Facebook and Twitter. Like I said earlier, I love their story, and their true compassion and commitment toward keeping the planet healthy. Next time you're in the need for a new article of clothing, consider checking out Threads For Thought and their line of eco-friendly apparel!
I am one of those nutty people who likes to break their sandals out at the first signs of Spring, or if Winter decides to last a little too long, I break them out as a personal boycott against the weather. This year since I'm on a huge eco kick, I figured what better way to welcome the warmer weather, and celebrate Earth Day than to feature an affordable, eco-friendly brand of shoes manufactured in the United States.
Okabashi is just that brand I was looking for! Made in Buford Georga, Okabashi strives to keep the planet and environment as healthy as possible. Their manufacturing location wasn't an accident, but instead was carefully chosen so it would be close to many "population centers" which in turn reduces the amount of fuel needed to ship their products.
"The average Okabashi shoe travels only 7% as far as the average imported shoe, which is a difference of almost 10,000 miles."
Okabashi uses a recycling process called "closed-loop" recycling. The goal is to limit as much as possible the amount of new materials needed to create their shoes. They have a pretty darn good incentive to recycle your old Okabashi shoes too! Once your old pair is worn out, you can return them back to Okabashi and receive a discount on your next pair. While I'm writing this I took another look at the Okabashi web site, and didn't find a single pair of full priced shoes more than $25. Their already very reasonable prices paired with the recycling discount incentive makes these a pretty smart buy in my opinion. Additionally, their manufacturing process is just about waste-free. All of the materials are reused by being kept free of contaminants and then they are sent through their Microplast Recycling Process.
"We were able to re-introduce and reuse over 100,000 pounds of scrap material last year alone, diverting 10 tractor trailers full of waste from our landfills."
Finally, their shoes are not only recyclable, but they are also durable, waterproof, washable, and 100% vegan friendly! Okabashi's web site guarantees their shoes for at least 2 years. I got a kick out of seeing in the product description that their shoes are dishwasher safe. Not that I have a dishwasher, but if I did, I could get them super clean and not have to worry if the heat would ruin them.
Once again my curiosity got the better of me, and Okabashi was kind enough to send me a pair of their Indigo style flip flops in pink/brown. I'm generally not a "pink" type of gal, but the second I saw them I got a shoe crush. Yes, it is definitely possible to have a crush on a pair of shoes. I'm also not usually one to choose sandals with a harder sole. I pick up a bunch of those cheap foam flip flops every Summer that usually sell for 2/$5. But those wreak havoc on my feet, ankles and knees. This particular style is great for those needing arch support. Perfect! I have ridiculously flat feet, and my ankles and knees really need better support due to those ginormous flippers. I'm not quite sure what "reflexology beads" are, but these shoes have them, and the fabric thong part works as a massager. The bottoms of the shoes have a really nice thick tread too. (This means I can break them out next Spring before the snow has stopped flying and I won't slip around like Bambi on the ice.)
I'm a little sad that the Indigo style seems to run a bit small. I requested a size 10/11, and since I'm normally about a 10.5 I figured they'd fit. I really could go up another half size or so, but the slight size issue isn't going to stop me from wearing them. They are ridiculously comfortable! I didn't even need to spend a lot of time breaking them in. Usually the thong parts of flip flops starts cutting into my feet within a matter of minutes, but these didn't. Instead, they have a little bit of give to them, and the tops of my feet are hunky dory. And lucky you! You get to see a picture of my happy feet - at least I've got my toenails painted.
This fabric upper massaging sandal treats feet to superior arch support and toe comfort. Soft, strategically-placed reflexology beads on the ergonomic footbed gently massage and stimulate feet, while a defined heel cup helps to reduce pain from common foot ailments like plantar fasciitis.
- Good for You: Massaging Insole, Ergonomic Foot-bed, Superior Arch Support
- Good for the Environment: Made in the USA
- Good for your Pocket: Guaranteed for 2 years
- Signature Microplast Material: contains Anti-Microbial Agent, Anti-Slip, Anti-Odor, Vegan-Friendly, Latex-Free
- Signature Microplast Material: Anti-Microbial, Anti-Slip, Anti-Odor, Vegan-friendly

I am beyond impressed with Okabashi and their products! I love the affordability, quality, and their dedication to the environment. Make sure you check out their Facebook Page too! And they are offering one lucky DealPeddler reader a pair of Okabashi shoes of their choosing! I almost forgot to mention they carry both women's and men's styles and sizes. There are very few TV shows that crack me up to the point where I actually want to find a t-shirt that has a slogan or logo from the show on it. I happened across Five Finger Tees and found a huge selection of shirts ranging from funny to nerdy, animals to TV, and everything in between. They even sell hoodies! I browsed through their designs and laughed at just about every single shirt I saw. Now, I'm not generally a big t-shirt type person, but when I ran across the "BAZINGA" shirt on Five Finger Tees I just had to have it. If you've ever watched The Big Bang Theory you know exactly why. While these are not "official" t-shirts of TV shows and movies, they're still a riot, and really well priced at only $9.99!
Lucky for me, Five Fingers Tees sent the "BAZINGA" to me for a review! I chose the purple because it's my favorite color. They do have a huge variety of shirt colors too which is awesome. I really hate it when I can only choose between black, grey and white. They make sure there is something for everyone. I must admit that I expected it to be closer to the color in the photo on their site (it's much darker) and I also thought it would be more of a "fitted" t-shirt since I ordered from the women's section. However, the color of the shirt is still gorgeous. It's a nice dark almost jewel tone purple. It doesn't show as well in the photo because for some reason it looks blue (and oh my goodness is that a terrible picture), but you get the idea.
Unlike some other t-shirts this one is a little thicker. For those of you who like to wear your t-shirts year round, this is a good one for the cooler months. It'll obviously work all of the time, but it might be a little heavy if you're sweating in 80+ degree weather. The "BAZINGA" is printed on nicely, and should definitely hold up through several more washes.
I had several more favorite, but these are just a few (click on the photo to be taken directly to that shirt):
To sum everything up, they have a great variety in shirts and colors which I think is AWESOME. Really liked the thickness and quality of the shirts, and I think the best part of everything is that they're only $9.99! You can rarely beat that price for such a funny shirt. Good job Five Finger Tees - you've given me several good laughs, and a conversation starting shirt!

Let me start out by saying that I HATE spending money of clothing. Don't get me wrong, I like shopping for clothing (as long as it doesn't take more than an hour), but when I see a pair of jeans priced at more than $20 I cringe and move on. I refuse to spend more than $10 or $15 on a shirt, and like to spend around $15 for a dress. Yup, I'm cheap. I'm also one of those people who varies between Junior size clothing and Misses. Usually I shop for casual clothing in the Junior's department, and if I need some fancy clothes I shop in the Miss(es) department. And I ALWAYS shop the clearance racks first.
I ran across a Junior's clothing store on Facebook called Moda Xpress. They describe their clothes as "Discount Trendy Juniors Clothing". Did I hear the word discount?! Oh my, yes I did! I took a gander at their online store, and let me just say the prices were incredible for brand new clothing. I contacted Moda Xpress because I truly believe I have readers who could benefit from hearing about this store, and they were super generous and let me choose any three pieces of clothing from their online inventory to review.
I'm not exactly a trendy mom, but I like to pretend that I am. I had to do a little digging, because some of the clothes were just not my style. It's not that I didn't like them, I just really can't pull off a tube top at this point in my life. Thank you Liam and Juniper for that. After a little more browsing and deciding I could really go for some summer clothes; I found a white tank top with a lace front, a pair of skinny jeans (I've NEVER owned a pair except for when they weren't in style), and a cute little dress.
One thing that really caught my eye as I was removing the tags, was that every single piece of clothing I had picked out were ALL made in America. I was truly impressed with this. I made sure to ask Moda Xpress if everything is made in America. Moda Xpress explained to me that while some of the clothes are not made in America, most of the jeans that are priced above $12.99, the vast majority of skirts, dresses, pants, and many of their tops are! This fact alone gets two thumbs up from me!
I thought the clothes were well made, especially for the price. The dress is lightweight and perfect for summer or paired with leggings, and the tank can be worn alone or spiffed up a little with a blazer or jewelry. The jeans are comfortable too! The ONLY thing I didn't care for about the jeans was the "bling" on the buttons, and the large silver tag sewn onto the back. I guess I'm just not cool enough to appreciate those little details. At least the shirts I wear are usually on the long side, and I can easily cover those two minute details. I'm usually wary about shopping online at a new place I haven't purchased from before because clothing sizes tend to vary a ridiculous amount. However, these fit true to size!
Total, the clothes I received to review would have cost about $46 to purchase. Yes, you read that right. An entire outfit AND a dress cost less than $50. And you know what, that was ranging on the more expensive end of things. I would suggest checking out the Moda Xpress site, and their Facebook page often because they have some great sales and they update their inventory regularly. For example today (02/25) I saw they are having a B2G1 FREE sale that included summer dresses, rompers, and some tops! You could get THREE dresses/shirts/rompers for $26!
Moda Xpress sells everything from casual to dressy, career wear to undies, accessories, and accommodates regular Junior sizes up through plus sizes. They even make it easier to shop by pre-assembling outfits and selling the pieces together.
Now, the final detail you were promised - Moda Xpress has generously provided a discount code for DealPeddler readers! Use code dealpeddler at checkout and receive 15% OFF all regularly priced items in your order. I realize some of you may not care to shop Juniors clothing, but I'm pretty sure many of you have daughters or granddaughters, so make sure you pass this site along as well as the discount code.

I'm always super impressed when someone can make something that looks store quality. I especially love handmade jewelry. The talent, and care that goes into making something beautiful and wearable amazes me. With that being said, I had the chance to review a pair of earrings from Jooniebeads Treasures. I contacted Amy for two reasons. The first being that I thought all of her jewelry in her Etsy shop was just gorgeous. The second reason is absolutely silly, but Joonie, reminds me of the movie Benny & Joon - I named my daughter after Joon, and we often call her Juni. I figured it was an auspicious coincidence, and I am really glad I began talking with Amy!
Anyway, Amy allowed me to choose a piece of jewelry I thought I would enjoy having instead of just randomly picking something to send. "I always like to make sure anyone who has something from my shop will be happy with it." How thoughtful! I had a really difficult time deciding because everything was just my style. Amy said she loves to work with natural items or anything that looks distressed or is old. Yes! I LOVE just about anything that falls into those categories! I picked out a pair of glass bead dark amber colored earrings. They were so beautiful on the site, I figured they'd have to be beautiful in person. They arrived packaged so nicely in a jewelry box. I though Amy showed great care by not only packaging them in batting, and bubble wrap (not shown), but she also included her business name on a sticker. Cute! I also think it's really classy and professional looking for her to have her earrings not only packaged well, but also hung on one of those earring holder display things. (I have no idea what they're actually called.)
My absolute favorite thing about Amy's earrings is the intricate wire wrapping around the beads. Not only does it enhance the beauty by giving it additional texture and color, while mirroring the geometric shape of the bead, but it was executed very well. The wire is wrapped tightly, and there aren't any sharp ends. She successfully maintained the symmetry between the two earrings as well, which I think is important unless you're really going for that "rebel without a cause" look. Her earrings also come with little stoppers for the back so you can be sure they won't fall out. Perfect! Because with my two small kids liking to grab anything shiny, I need all the help I can get keeping earrings in.
I haven't worn earrings in ages, so I was a little nervous. My ears are really sensitive to certain metals, mainly nickle. They'll turn red, start to itch, and then become really painful. It took a few minutes for my ears to get used to having something hung off of them, but since then I've had zero issues. Because they're glass and wire, they're a little heavier than plastic beads, but they aren't going to drag your lobes down to the point of "wobbling to and fro". (I also have issues with my piercing holes stretching.)
When you shop with Jooniebeads Treasures you can be certain you are getting a great value. When you consider the time and materials spent making the jewelry, the quality, customer service, and then actually see what she sells her pieces for you can walk away knowing that every dime was worth it. Amy would love for you to find her shop on Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr!
Why YES, I did say that there is a giveaway with this review! Amy is very generously offering a $20 gift certificate to her store and FREE shipping! She ships internationally too, so I'll open this giveaway up for Canadian residents as well. What can you get for $20 (or less)?
I'm a big fan of things that are quirky and have unique designs, so I'm really excited that I got to do a product review for Golden Eel!
Golden Eel gave me the opportunity to test out one of their eco-conscious Field Bags. I'm a bag/purse fanatic so I was totally tickled to get one to try out that's both useful and funky (in a good way). I chose the khaki colored "I WENT 'GREEN'" field bag that measures 12" W x 16" H x 3.5" D. It's 100% canvas, enzyme washed to give a weathered look, with brass buckles on the front, and an inside pocket for extra storage. (Please don't mind the lines on the bag in the photos. My lighting was weird and that's from the camera. They are no on the actual bag.)
I do have to say that based on the picture on the website I expected the khaki color to be a really like color, however it is a bit darker than what is shown on the website. I'm not complaining by any means! I kind of like the darker color, and the difference is barely noticeable in the photos I took anyway. I also expected the graphic to be a little darker. Never the less I don't think that it takes away from the quality or uniqueness of the product.
On their website they said it makes a great laptop bag, so I threw my giant HP laptop in it to see how it fit. It's technically a little too large (15.5"), but the bag's flap is long enough so it still closed just fine. I think though I may use this bag to tote around my daughter's coloring stuff, or any books/papers I may have when I resume school again. Then again diapers and wipes would fit really nicely and I could look like a "cool" mom when I head to the store and not like an overloaded donkey when I have to carry everything around.
They have so many neat designs on their website! They offer several products including journals, Sigg bottles, hoodies, children's clothing, and dog clothing. These are some of my favorites:
Golden Eel has been very generous and has offered up a Tribal Sugar Skull Field Bag for a giveaway! (Say "thank you" everyone!) The giveaway will run from midnight 01/01/12 to 01/07/12. Also, please make sure you visit them on Facebook!
* I received a product in order to provide this review. All opinions are 100% my own.
I'm super excited about this review! This is my FIRST product review, and I got to review a really fun product. If you haven't already heard of them, let me introduce you to Crazy Dog T-Shirts! "The best funny t shirts updated with new designs every week!"
I was allowed to go to their site www.CrazyCogTShirts.com and their sister site NachoMamaTees.com and choose a shirt that I wanted to review. There were SO many awesome and hilarious ones, but I finally settled on the "Proper Fist Pump Technique" shirt. Something about fist pumping cracks me up! And, the fact that there is a shirt that shows you the PROPER way to do it amuses me even more.... if you can't tell by the photo.
These were some of my other favorites:
Shipping time on the T-shirt was REALLY fast! I actually got it a few days ago, but didn't have the time until now to take pictures, so the review had to wait. After much debate I ordered a size Large. I'm glad I did. Normally I'm a Medium, or at least I think so. Then again after two children things tend to stretch and expand. The shirt is extremely soft and comfortable! Something I would definitely recommend to buy for yourself or give as gifts. And, you know how size/care tags can get itchy? Not the ones in this shirt!
I actually like that the T-shirt is thinner, but it doesn't feel cheap. Designs are printed on Next Level Apparel 100% cotton T-shirts. I'm a big fan of cotton. I like shirts that breathe. This is definitely one T-shirt I'm going to strut my stuff in out in public instead of saving to wear to bed. Good job Crazy Dog T-Shirts!
So, here comes the fun part! I'm sure you're asking, "Yeah, yeah, what's in it for me? Afterall I had to READ what you wrote about the product!" Crazy Dog T-Shirts is GIVING AWAY a $15 Gift Card to their store. This is awesome because they have a $6.99 Daily T-Shirt Deal, and $9 T's! If you're not interested in any of that, the $15 gift card would make a different shirt SO cheap. If you don't win, don't worry! You can save $5 with the code StayWarm, OR $10 off of your $50 purchase with code Snowball. Just wait, I'm not done. Send in a photograph of you wearing one of their T-shirts and you can score a FREE mystery T! Just email your clear and in focus photo to firstname.lastname@example.org.
