Reviewer’s Retreat Location Announced for 2013 – Time To Start Planning

RR2013

I am SO darn excited right now. I have been stalking the Reviewer's Retreat Facebook page ever since the 2012 conference ended. I found out about the conference way too late last year, and since I was still a newb in the blogging world, I decided to let that one slip by. However, as the months progressed and I found my groove, I realized I LOVE being a product reviewer. I enjoy sharing my opinions, and giving the honest low-down on a product. I've found that a big company isn't necessarily the best company, and quality is no where near synonymous with quantity. This is why I have every plan in the world to attend the 2013 Reviewer's Retreat at the The Lodge and Spa at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia, and will begin seeking sponsorship in the coming months.

I believe that I am a trusted source for information. And, while I enjoy bringing in products to try with my family, my biggest goal is to positively influence the way people shop. Just because I liked something, doesn't mean someone else will, and vice versa. But, what I can tell you is the quality of a product, my experience with the brand, and how I used the product in my own daily living. This is what is important. Sometimes price shouldn't matter, and sometimes it absolutely does. But, in the end I believe consumers (i.e. YOU) want to know if something is WORTH your money, and that's why I adore what I do and take my job very seriously.

I want to improve my writing and reviewing skills in order to hone my craft. I am competitive and always have been. However, I would not be where I am today with DealPeddler if it wasn't for my outstanding readers, several fantastic bloggers, and the brands I've had the pleasure of working with during the last several months. I want to take what I have learned so far since beginning in 2011, and continue to grow. I want to attend the 2013 Reviewer's Retreat for exactly this purpose.

Last year's Reviewer's Retreat was sponsored by some really great brands including Pampers, Kia, eBags, Musselman's, and Playschool - just to name a few. These brands recognize that bloggers truly have a voice, and an important voice at that. (Not to mention sometimes a rather loud one.) I recently read an article that said blogs are one of the most trusted sources for consumers when it comes to what they should or shouldn't purchase. That means we're more trusted than T.V. commercials, and even Facebook pages and advertisements.

Reviewer's Retreat 2012 had a great lineup of speakers who spoke on topics that included Pinterest tips, SEO, your first impression as a blogger, growing your audience, and how to move beyond reviews into ambassadorships and paid positions. You cannot grow in your field without the proper education - think of Reviewer's Retreat like a really quick college course to get you jump-started.

Now, I know sponsors want to know what I can do for THEM, but I really want to know what I can do for YOU as a sponsor. I want to stand out, and be unique. Yes I'm happy to write posts before, during, and after the conference. I can hashtag the sh*t out of my tweets that include your brand, hand out swag, offer advertising on my blog - heck I can do just about anything short of tattooing your logo on my chest. (I could do that - but I'm going to draw the line somewhere.) However, I feel sponsorship needs to be a strong collaboration, and that means both sides need to have input. So, here is my question. What can I do for you?

In the coming weeks I will be drafting sponsorship packets and sending out letters. In the meantime, if you happen to like my blog, and find my work to be of quality, please consider reaching out to me! I will be offering opportunities for full sponsorship and partial sponsorship. I want to work FOR you. Sure the swag at the conference is probably going to be epic, but that's not why I'm going. I want to present your brand and product with the utmost professionalism to what is sure to be a great group of bloggers.

Please feel free to check out my "Contact Us" tab. You'll find my email address and my media kit. If you have any questions, or offers, feel free to email me anytime. I'll get back to you ASAP. I'm excited to start working, and I am super excited to represent some great brands while at Reviewer's Retreat 2013!
